Church of Our Saviour
The Church of Our Saviour is the oldest Episcopal Church in the San Gabriel Valley. It is the family church of World War II hero and favorite son, General George S. Patton, Jr. One of the church’s unique features is a stained-glass window commemorating the famous General’s life and heroic deeds. Set on a beautiful 5.5-acre campus with numerous mature trees and native vegetation, the church campus was built in 1867 and is adjacent to the San Gabriel Cemetery, whose histories are closely intertwined. A life-sized bronze statue of Patton as Commander of the U.S. 15th Army stands in the entry of the cemetery. With its gorgeous grounds and grand, traditional church architecture, the Church of Our Saviour is the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony, a walk and talk, and a celebration of life scene.
The main sanctuary has classically arched doors of deep brown wood and a towering, pointed bell tower. The church provides a traditional setting for filming both exteriors and interiors. The church features a grand organ, a choir area, vintage chandeliers, 32 magnificent stained-glass windows, and a traditional, classically beautiful combination of cream walls, deep wooden accents, and pews. Other areas on the campus include the bridal room, vestibule, columbarium, Allan Hall meeting rooms and offices, Grace Chapel, which features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and Cleaver Hall, which boasts a professional kitchen that can accommodate large catered events. The Church of Our Saviour is a fantastic property that offers a variety of locations within one campus. The church parking lot is ample, allowing for both basecamp and crew parking.
